Lindsay Marshall - Maintenance Engineer

Lindsay joined the Site Weld team in 2014 with 30+ years of experience under his belt. He started his apprenticeship with the Otago Harbour Board with work mainly comprising of repair and maintenance of the floating plant. He completed his apprenticeship in fitting/turning and machining and has since had considerable experience in marine engineering, in the meat industry (slaughter house, pelt house, tannery and effluent), mining industry, the servicing of fishing fleets and general engineering. Lindsay is now in charge of building, equipment and motor vehicle maintenance and he occasionally gets back on the tools when required.
In his down time Lindsay is a keen kit set model builder, rugby supporter, fisher and cook. His claim to fame is when he won the Otago/Southland 150th anniversary beard growing competition!
